Bringing back the chair I designed in Fusion 3D last week, I imported it into Adobe Dimension to try it out in 3 different scenarios.
For my fist design, I wanted to test the waters so I went with something simple. I tried the chair with just a table and a laptop computer in an image of a room. I tried different lighting options, different textures for the chair and table, and ended up with a simple yet functional design.
For the second iteration, I wanted to have a larger setting, and I wanted to come up with the background scenario myself. I always imagine this chair as being previously at a school, it just has that vibe. So I went after that inspiration and came up with a classroom. For this one I made the floor out of a flat surface and the walls out an empty square. Copy pasted the chair and desk a bunch of times, added a desk for the teacher, a white board and boom! There’s even a bag of Doritos and a water bottle for those of you who are into details ;).
For my last iteration I wanted to do something more fancy. And inspired on one of the stock background pictures available on Adobe Dimensions I made a water-front restaurant in the middle of the city. Complete with a bar and table covers, this render had my computer turning off a few times. The high quality render never worked on my MacBook Air, so forgive me for only being able to render it in the lowest resolution setting.
All in all it was a great experience. It opened my eyes to the possibilities of the software, but I leave with a bittersweet taste of feeling powerless for my computer not being capable of rendering higher quality images.
